Laundry capsules is a new type of concentrated detergent wrapped in water-soluble film. When used, it can be put directly into the washing machine with clothes. According to QB/T 1224-2012 "Liquid Detergent for Clothing", the total active substance content of laundry detergent should not be less than 15%, and the total active substance content of concentrated products should not be less than 25%. 

In contrast, the detergency of laundry capsules is very good. In 2017, the National Detergent Quality Inspection Center collected 14 brands of laundry capsules sold on the market for quality comparison and evaluation. The content of active matter in all samples exceeded 65%.

Strong cleaning power and convenient use are the advantages of laundry capsules , but because of its bright color and small size, there are also safety hazards of children's ingestion. 

QB/T 5568-2021 "Laundry capsules" makes specific requirements on the product size, pH value, water-soluble film breaking speed and other technical parameters of the laundry capsules, and also stipulates the safety indicators to prevent infant and child ingestion, requiring that the minimum volume of a single capsule is not less than 10ml, and the product needs to add bitters. Such products should also have the function of opening with both hands to prevent young children from opening. The standard will go into effect on April 1. 2022.
